Dental implants

Keep your smile

First and foremost, our goal is to preserve your smile. If you have lost a tooth through, trauma, decay or deterioration, implants can offer an excellent solution. They are hard-wearing, aesthetic and the most tooth-like replacement available. A dental implant replaces the tooth root and the tooth crown, to create a functioning aesthetic replacement. They are usually made of titanium, a strong and bio-compatible material.

Implant placement

Implants are placed in the jawbone with a simple operation when the amount of bone is sufficient to maintain the implant. It may be necessary to perform a bone graft prior to implant placement.

Treatment options

Single tooth implants

In some cases, implants can be placed immediately after tooth extraction, depending on preparation time, nature of tooth loss and bone quality. If further preparation is needed prior to implant placement, you will be provided with a temporary prosthesis to replace the single tooth gap until your implant is placed.

Sectional implants

If you are missing more than one tooth in a section, it may be possible to place more than implant to retain a number of prosethic teeth.

Full arch implants

In cases where all of the upper and/or lower teeth have been extracted, an arrangement of implants can be placed in order to retain a fixed prosthesis. A minimum of four implants is often placed, depending on with width of the jaw and quality of the bone.
